I just noticed if you hover over a friends icon on your Flist there's a new option in the hover menu. Add note. It seems like it is kind of like the greasemonkey script LJWHO where you can add notes about a user and they'll never know it. Nice thing about this is you can manage notes. Get a whole lists of notes you've made about the user. Once you make a note there will be a * after their name. How shiny. I’m so going to use this to keep track of repeat offenders in my communities… and crazy people.

Hahaha news just announced the whole notes thing. Good to know I hadn't just been missing out on a shiny LJ feature.

EDIT: They’ve also added a geo-location feature. (I’m not getting the allure of this whole geo-location feture.) Are people REALLY that lazy they can’t enter their own location?

I finally updated to Firefox 3.5. Amazingly the only add-on that didn’t make it was Tabmix plus. I wasn’t sad at the time because I couldn’t honestly remember what good it did. Then I started opening up tabs. Apparently the only thing I really used it for was to have muli-rows of tabs. I don’t much enjoy that whole scrolling thing firefox has going. I did find an update at Tabmix plus’ website. But it broke my tabs so badly I might have cried a little.

TabKit: Tab grouping, vertical tab tree, multi-rows, and various tweaks for power users. I’m kind of annoyed that I had to go looking for an addon just to make my tabs multi leveled but I can’t live without it. This thing does something called a vertical tab tree also. I have to say on a widescreen it’s kind of awesome. A little weird to get used to since my windows taskbar is on the right while I put this thing on the left.

I know I know I pimped this whole use userstyles to really mold firefox into something that you functionally love. (Granted that was a year ago) I personally want as much screen for webpages as I can get while still having everything at hand. Something that really used to piss me off was how much empty space the menu bar has. Nothing about Firefox 3.5 screams improvement. Faster? Errr not that I can tell. Better color profile on graphics? Nope. I’m not happy about the geo-location and turned that off the second I could. Just type in the URL about:config > enter > change the geo.enabled value to false by double-clicking on it. For something that broke most of the addons I don’t really see anything super special. Apparently all the improvements are really for the power users and web designers. Might be a while before we see all the shiny things 3.5 created. Mah, I just wish there were better themes out there.

Check the firefox addons tag for the addon/theme/greasemonkey crap I’ve babbled about in the past. I love my firefox.

What’s the two addons you can’t live without? Me? It’s LJlogin and LJWho.

They aren’t kittens anymore but those two adorable troublesome cats sounds so stupid. So KIT-TEENS!

The hard cat food I use (Max Cat) has been voluntarily recalled. Thanks suzvoy! Thank goodness I buy HQ hard cat food as treats. So they are good until I can get out there and get some food for them. I feed my cats what I grew up with as what you feed your cat. Recently I’ve been told Friskies is the equivalent of feeding your pet bread and water. For a carnivore this isn’t really that super awesome. For hard food I’ve decided on getting them Natural Balance or Wellness. I’m stuck on soft food. There just isn’t much out there that is cost effective. I’m also not going to try the raw food diet. I don’t have a reliable butcher anywhere near me and it’s just not my thing.

So my question is what do you feed your cats?

I play games like SecondLife and Free Realms and I have a very very hard time making friends on these social platforms. It can be very depressing because I love these games but I just can’t connect with people there. I ultimately end up shutting it down and wandering back here only to find, OH THERE YOU GUYS ARE.

Okay, so it's kind of late and I'm ridiculously nervous over the bigbang prompt claiming tomorrow. I might have had a little panic attack that went something like. OMGINEVERMAKEANYTHINGANYMOREIMSCREWED OPEN PHOTOSHOP. I guess that caused a slight bit of weirdness. I swear I didn’t manip anyone’s head on a unicorn, that only happened once anyway. Poor Jensen. ANYWAY. I made two manipy things. Crossed over Supernatural with Stargate Atlantis then Supernatural with Doctor Who. The boys would kick ass at a cross reality road trip. I’m just sayin’ who wouldn’t want to see Rodney McKay’s reaction to the awesome that is Dean Winchester? Epic.

I just lost my WHOLE day to the game FreeRealms. Okay maybe not my whole day, I did go and get cat food and human food. I also made egg rolls and cream cheese puffs. I posted icons! I'm stupidly excited about it. I haven't made an icon post for a WHOLE YEAR. What the hell is wrong with me? I didn't even realize it'd been so long. I can’t help but wonder if it has something to do with the fact I don’t like my icon journal’s name anymore. I’d create a new one but the idea of moving kind of gives me hives. I always get a little grumpy when my favorite icon makers move journals. IDK I’d change it into a community which I really like the idea of since no one has icon journals anymore, but I’d lose all my posts and comments. Ugh it’s like freaking rocket science. I need to shake something up, get me going again. I used to love making graphics so much. I don’t know what happened.

How do I get an invite right now?
Luck of the draw or find someone who has an invite code. Dreamwidth is in closed beta right now and will be until April 30th. What they really need is people who will use the site, test the severs, poke at crap for fun, add to their very small available layouts. Even give ideas on how to make the site easier to use. Not just people who wish to park their name.

I really don't think people are going to leave LJ in mass exodus any time soon. It didn’t happen when JournalFen showed up and it didn’t happen when Insane journal popped up, hell even scriblit which people were really worried about, didn’t happen there either. People who DO leave LJ for DW wouldn't be abandoning you. It’s not even the main goal of the Dreamwidth to make it so you have to pick one. They want to create something that people can live at and use in conjunction with LJ.

Sounds like Peter David might have reported the community to Marvel Comics for Copyright infringement. For those that don’t know Peter David is the creator of X-Factor most boring ugly godawful comic I’ve ever read. I tried to read it during the Civil War run but I just couldn’t. It was so slow and just stupid. The art was awful and the main character seemed so emo.

LJWHO is this just awesome little script that lets you leave little notes next to a persons name. Like location, RL name, nicknames, blackmail material and fun facts. Only YOU can see it. It saves all the little notes on your computer so it's safe.
